Description

The final quest in the game which is based around obtaining the Philosopher's Stone, and the chambers protecting it is particularly difficult in places, and seems to share a characteristic with most of the other dungeons in the game in that it's completely tedious and unnecessarily long. Those facts make Prisoner of Azkaban a great game for younger kids, and it's a lot of fun for less-discriminating older fans of Harry Potter too. Players who've never seen the movies or read the book will find the game to be a boring and confusing experience, and those who are Harry Potter fans will miss their favourite parts of the story, and find the characters to be less than engaging. Be Harry Potter in this Game Boy Advance game, discovering a world filled with wizardry, fun and ever-present danger.

One night, while secretly obtaining ingredients for Snape's class, Harry happens upon the Mirror of Erised, in which he sees his parents. Flipendo knocks enemies back, and can stun and kill weaker enemies, Alohomora unlocks certain types of locked doors and chests, Avifors transfigures things into birds, and there are even more spells to learn in the later parts of the game.Take the wheel of a flying car and don't be late for a second term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets . The main dissapointment of the game to me though is that you don't get to fly the funky car at the start. Diversions abound as you solve action-oriented puzzles with Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore and a host of unforgettable characters from the now internationally acclaimed J.

The animations are decent for the time, but any battles with enemies are too shortlived or frustrating to enjoy when compared to the RPG stylings of the Game Boy Colour release. Too wrong I was: you begin the came by attending your first defence against the dark arts lesson and then once your spell is learnt you do a tricky challenge. GameSpot were positive about the game, scoring 7/10 or above across releases, [21] with a high of 7.It's got a solid storyline based on the book and film, and dozens of quests that branch outwards from situations from the film . Harris described the nighttime sequences as clever but faulted the characters' inconsistent line of sight, and noted a similarly faulty collision detection throughout the game.

Boss battles too can be frustratingly difficult, but conversely players seem to be overly rewarded for the simplest of tasks, with 50 house points given simply for attending class and learning a spell. K. Rowling's second book in the series, the game offers a magical multitude of new challenges and mysteries as the famous "Boy Who Lived. Both were frustrated by the necessity of starting an entire segment over upon falling down a bottomless pit.

In the United States, the game was among the highest-selling titles released for handheld consoles between 2000 and 2006. Miller and IGN 's Craig Harris commended the game's faithfulness to the source material, [1] [2] though Harris and Electronic Gaming Monthly 's Baker and Jeanne Kim were annoyed by the repetitive and abundant nature of the puzzle segments, which Harris compared to Golden Sun and The Legend of Zelda. And if you're not overwhelmed by Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , you can wager on one certainty--this isn't the last we've seen of Mr Potter on the Game Boy Advance. In this game's story, Neville breaks his wrist when Harry arrived at the flying lesson in which Madam Hooch said "You're late, Potter. In addition to playing as the titular character Harry, the game also allows the player to control Hermione and Ron, as well as fly Buckbeak, and control Harry's pet owl, Hedwig.
