The Rebar also offers a choice of straight or serrated blades that are complimented with a selection of tools that will enable most jobs to be carried out. The Rebar pliers have been optimized for strength and feature replaceable wire/hard-wire cutters—a first for a four-inch tool from Leatherman. Our engravers will take good care of your tool to ensure it looks as good, or better, than the preview. I travel to Asia, Europe, and big American cities often for work and tend to go completely knifeless when I do.

JB Tools provides this disclaimer to ensure there is no likelihood of confusion unduly influencing your decision to purchase this product, or any other, product from JB Tools, and to ensure there is no confusion as to the existence of any affiliation between JB Tools and the manufacturer of this product. The additional 33% is correct, that was a typo on my part and thanks for catching that, it's been corrected. This is one of the main reasons why we end up with all these laws and restrictions that are inconsistent and don't make any sense. Agreed this is an option, but what I mean is I wish they would design a NEW tool that emphasizes the scissors instead of a blade instead of just switching in the small scissors.Anyway, after finding out all of this I had to track down a multi-tool that I would be allowed to carry.

Also, my primary EDC knife is a Spyderco Urban (British Blades forum special edition with Elmax steel), which is UK-legal, stays sharp, has OHO, and a deep-carry pocket clip, so I have no need for a knife on my multitool. I'd prefer a Leatherman tool for EDC (not on me, but in the bag I always have on my bike, which also contains puncture repair kit, tyres levers etc. Please Note: This is a visual representation and the product and font size are approximations, and the preview may vary depending on your computer settings.Leatherman fans will immediately recognise the distinct boxy body of the Knifeless Rebar found in the Super Tool 300 and Micra. I had a Gerber MP600 knifeless that I left somewhere in my previous abode, but I love this UK 'street-legal' Rebar and it has a much more precisely engineered finish and refined action than the Gerber and because of the deliberate omission of a blade I can take it anywhere with me. The file sucks though, and the tool set is more limited, but on the plus side you'll have spring loaded pliers. The knifeless version takes the excellence of the original tool and exchanges the knife for a pair of scissors so you can have all the functionality of the Rebar and still carry it any area where a knife blade is not permitted. Personally I carry a knifeless mod often, and I live in a state that's very liberal when it comes to blades.

I am a TV and Broadcast engineer on my day to day work and I usually find myself in need of a variety of tools at hand that are small in size - and can't always carry a toolbox with me. Okay so in the box we find a little manual which actually has info on all their multi tools not just the Knifeless EDC Rebar, a Leatherman Sticker, a little case for the tool and the tool itself. O members who have plenty of resources on how to do the modding yourself and where people can hook you up with spare parts as well (or have enough parts themselves). I would recommend this to anyone since I believe you should be self reliant and this allows you to solve a lot of problems out and about. With all the features to get even the toughest jobs done, in a smaller, slimmer size, the Rebar is sure to be an instant hit on job sites and home projects the world over. Anyway, whether you can have the tool is still often left up to individual discretion regardless of whether it meets rules and regulations. Whilst we're addressing the accuracy of the tool, mine weighed in at a smidgen under 179g, although I do understand that there's generally an allowance for small weight discrepancies between supposedly identical tools.

Given that ALL the gadgets are lockable (as in, they lock in position meaning that you can use them without the risk of them collapsing in use), some of these ends could still be lethal in the wrong hands (I'm thinking that perhaps this isn't the best gift for a child for this reason - but this is only an opinion! A precise measuring guide for determining length in inches or centimetres, up to 8 inches or 19 centimetres. The tool feels really robust, it feels like a proper tool to do a job, not some lightweight cheap type tool. The Leatherman Knifeless Rebar is a great everyday carry item for all those odd jobs that need a bit of filing or a loose screw that needs doing. But that does not apply to "environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don’t allow for knife blades". The EveryDay Carry Rebar is perfect for environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don't allow for knife blades. With the extra space they could've put the diamond file in or something At the end of the day, it's a Rebar.
